Developing Low-Cost, Sustainable Products for the Emerging Cannabis Industry

BACKGROUND - daCompany Herbal Accessories

In the pre-legalization era, the cannabis market was saturated with products that neglected design and perpetuated stereotypes. Recognizing the need for change, we focused on uniting consumers around shared challenges and reimagining products to foster mainstream acceptance.

CHALLENGES

- Redefining the cannabis experience by designing products that catered to a diverse consumer base.
- Educating the public on the benefits of controlled consumption, dispelling misconceptions and promoting responsible use.
- Developing sustainable products and an innovative platform to enhance the user experience while working within the constraints of restricted marketing channels.

SOLUTION

As the founder of daCompany, I spearheaded the development of a range of sustainable, user-friendly products that appealed to a wide array of cannabis consumers. We also created a consumption app and marketplace platform to modernize ancient consumption methods and facilitate access to information.

USERS

Our target audience consisted of the rapidly growing population of cannabis consumers brought about by legalization, seeking a more refined, inclusive experience.

MY ROLE

As the founder, I led daCompany's strategic direction and managed all aspects of the business, from market research and product design to branding, funding, and partnership development.
